Melancholy of my own, compounded of many samples extracted from many objects the sundry contemplation of my travels rumination wraps me in humorous sadness ~ William Shakespeare (paraphrased)

Mackenzie Bezos (Mac) is the published author in the family, not Jeff. And now that she and Jeff have split, some followers may wonder if she will one day write an autobiography or a memoir about her life the last 25 years. Within the few weeks following the early January 2019 announcement of their pending divorce, Mac remains silent about her writing plans so her family and friends may not know a thing about her feelings without checking her social media entries. But it is still uncertain that her own feelings, opinions are on her TWITTER FEED, an unverified account.

One of the few places where you find real opinions for Mackenzie Tuttle Bezos is an online book review about The Everything Store: Jeff Bezos and the Age of Amazon. Mac writes regarding the couple’s early life

“Jeff’s decision to leave his job and build an Internet bookstore at the time, he was thinking about what to do next; he had recently read the novel, “Remains of the Day,” by Kazuo Ishiguro, about a butler who wistfully recalls his personal and professional choices during a career in service in wartime Great Britain.”

Mackenzie then followed with numerous arguments in critique of the Brad Stone work. Here are six of her opinions summarized:

“Jeff’s decision to leave his job and build an Internet bookstore at the time, he was thinking about what to do next; he had recently read the novel, “Remains of the Day,” by Kazuo Ishiguro, about a butler who wistfully recalls his personal and professional choices during a career in service in wartime Great Britain.”

While Wall Street took the Bezos split announcement in stride; investors watch to see if the divorce settlement affects Bezos’s control of Amazon. So long as the company is growing and returning profits, Jeff Bozos probably maintains investor confidence, though a settlement might put a dent in such RELENTLESS.COM side projects in the space exploration company Blue Origin | blueorigin.com.  Maybe not.

socialcurrentsee.com | who.altacities.com

As of January 2019, the creator and genius of RELENTLESS.COMhas a mission in space that launched years ago in his youth.  You might observe that it is his second mistress.  Bezos reports that the annual budget for Blue Origin | blueorigin.com is in excess of $1B, only about 1/70 of the expected fortune he may relinquish to Mackenzie.

In numerous interviews of record (both social media and mainstream) Jeff Bezos has framed his passion for space exploration.  He may have his highest regard for this mission, maybe ranking this higher than any other love in his life: ex-wife, current mistress, even his varied other RELENTLESS.COMpursuits, of which there are many.

The divorce could have implications for the ownership structure of Amazon, where Mr. Bezos is the largest shareholder with a 16.3% stake, according to the company’s latest proxy filed in April 2018.

If you own only 8% of a trillion dollar company, do you fall out of the elite class?

Bezos, 54, is worth an estimated $136 billion and is the world’s richest person, according to Forbes. His home state of Washington is one of the few remaining so-called “community property” states — where marital assets shared equally — so his divorce settlement with his soon-to-be-ex, 48, promises to be one of the largest in history.

While teaching at Howard, she met Harold Morrison, a Jamaican architect, whom she married in 1958. She was pregnant with their second son when she and Harold divorced in 1964.

With that event in common, we might assume that Mac has even a stronger bond now with Toni Morrison, prompting the oft-quoted line: “Remember that moment when you first encountered a character who seemed to be written just for you?”

Mac Bezos, born MacKenzie Tuttle, studied under Pulitzer Prize-winning author Toni Morrison while at Princeton. Morrison, who was Bezos’s thesis advisor and connected Bezos to her ICM agent Amanda Urban, told Vogue that Bezos was “one of the best students I’ve ever had in my creative-writing classes . . . really one of the best.”

In a review of TrapsPublishers Weekly wrote, “In her second novel she galvanizes the mundane with a sense of dread, presenting four women trapped by sad circumstances and their own fallibility, as they gradually make their way through four tense days during which their lives intersect.”

Reclusive movie star Jessica Lessing is finally coming out of hiding—to confront her father, a con man who has been selling her out to the paparazzi for years. On her four-day road trip to Las Vegas, she encounters three unexpected allies—Vivian, a teenager with newborn twins; Lynn, a dog shelter owner living in isolation on a ranch in rural Nevada; and Dana, a fearless ex-military bodyguard wrestling with secrets of her own. As their fates collide, each woman will find a chance at redemption that she never would have thought possible. MacKenzie Bezos’s taut prose, tough characters, and nuanced insights give this novel a complexity that few thrillers can match. READ

Mackenzie and Jeff Bezos may have a marital divide amicable in nature. Is that only due to the immensity of their family fortune?

One major difference is the nature of couples’ assets. Often, affluent people hold their wealth in stocks, and in recent decades many of them build net worth with highly lucrative stock options in rapidly growing companies. “That makes the divorces incredibly more complicated than, say, two schoolteachers who get divorced, with retirement accounts and savings accounts and cars and houses,” says Steve Mindel, a family law attorney in Los Angeles who works with high-net-worth clients.

The story, below and throughout the archive PrimeInfidelity.com®,

… reveals that the great majority of the dissolutions of the marriage by the wealthy are worked out amicably before the divorce announcement. If the divorce is public, attorneys set terms before the filing, which is not unusual in a high net worth case.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and wife MacKenzie to divorce after 25 years of marriage

BEZOS TWEET ▶ “We want to make people aware of a development in our lives,” the couple said in a post on Bezos’ Twitter account Wednesday. “As our family and close friends know, after a long period of loving exploration and trial separation, we have decided to divorce and continue our shared lives as friends.”

The carefully worded announcement suggests a cordial divorce and one unlikely to disrupt or affect Amazon the world’s most valuable company at $810 billion just ahead of Microsoft ($789 billion), according to S&P Global Market Intelligence. Reportedly, the Bezos net worth in Amazon is around $140B and rising.

Observers of this case will speculate the assets that Bezos will liquidate to satisfy the divorce agreement. Will he evenly spit his 16% share in Amazon or divest other assets like the Washington Post? All of the following stories and links are archived from the TWITTER FEED OF Mackenzie Bezos @_MackenzieBezos, but we can’t tell if the content reflects her current state of mind…

Like most men who marry and divorce once,

… the second marriage rarely lasts for the rest of life. Just fact check the data. While mega-rich empire builder Jeff Bezos gives advice on choices, he opens himself to millions who question choices. Too late in this life, at least, to rescind his first marital crash landing, but you can expect more news about his inability to stay in the fidelity lane with the women in his life.

Truthfully, when Bezos founded Amazon in late 1994, no one predicted the enterprise rocket primed to launch. Yes, this was a partnership and always has been. How else would she claim a 50% stake in the $140B business? Also, not forecast was the demise of the Bezos marriage after a quarter century. That twist of fortune was as little expected as it was for Jeffrey Preston Jorgensen (at birth, 1964, now Bezos due to adoption) to have become the most wealthy man in the world, even if that title proved to be temporary since he will probably relinquish the position in 2019.

Even with his pending misfortune, something to which Bezos is unaccustomed, he might nod agreement with the following ruminating message: “I don’t think young men or women should be pressured to marry. You should not marry anyone whom you know you may have to fix.”

There are many current and provocative reports of the BEZOS’ PrimeInfidelity, but this one digs a little deeper than most. ▶ STORY

An answer to the question: Why men should not marry? Given their 25-year successful marriage and the great commercial success of their lives, Jeff and Mackenzie Bezos may not choose to discourage anyone from marriage, regardless of the odds. They each understand that life guarantees for happiness are conditional.

But for men or women who would rather be independent, marriage is a risky option. Yes, for some, marriage is a contract for life fulfillment. But for others, it is living with financial ruin of indisputable measure. From their grossly pessimistic domain, the jaded source below adds: “The problem is that when you’re young, you naturally fall into this mindset where your whole self-image is based on how your mate regards you, and so you spend all your money and energy trying to make yourself acceptable to them. Then later in life, the shine wears off and you finally realize that you’ve wasted yourself on a crooked bet.”

The roughly 70 billion that will transfer to Mackenzie #Bezos at the final divorce decree is enough to do the following:

Spending: If you had 70 billion dollars, you could buy 2,333,333 cars at $30,000/each or 350,000 houses at $200,000/each.

Travel: If you were to travel 70 billion miles, you could fly around the world 2,811,132 times or take a round trip to the moon 146,505 times.

Savings: If you could save $100,000/year, it would take you 700,000 years to save 70 billion dollars. If you could save $10,000 every single day, then it would only take you 19,178 years to save 70 billion.

Giving: With 70 billion dollars, you could afford to give every man, woman, and child in Canada $1,944.44.

Living: If you could live for 70 billion minutes, you would live until you were 133,181 years old. (SOURCE)

But the #Bezos/Tuttle families, friends, and the curious world will have to wait to see what Mackenzie does with her billions. Her charitable interests come to mind. She founded the anti-bullying organization Bystander Revolution and serves as executive director of that group today. But if you follow the SocialCurrentSee® of these times, you know billionaire Jeff takes much skepticism about his current philanthropy.

Not exactly a nonprofit or charitable organization, Bystander Revolution is an advocacy website offering practical, crowdsourced advice about simple things individuals can do to defuse bullying and help shift the culture. No matter who you are or what you’re facing, you can find personal stories, suggestions, and encouragement from someone who has dealt with a similar issue. Search by problem or solution to find tips from people who have been targets, people who have been bystanders, and even people who have bullied.

As she contemplates her new-found, personal wealth, Mackenzie may consider moving Bystander Revolution to the status of a chartered nonprofit. The group is not now listed on either CharityNavigator.org or Guidestar.org, the two primary NPO rating organizations.

Polly-Vous Francais?

We all know that AMAZON is an international enterprise with a significant interest in France, Europe, and beyond. Here is the French version of a BEZOS Story of the PrimeInfidelity matter.

Mackenzie has not far to go to research launching a successful nonprofit. Like Jeff, she can make a call to neighbors Bill and Melinda Gates.

The largest charitable foundation in the world is Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation at $51.6 billion (SOURCE @ link)

Harvard University has the largest endowment among educational institutions at $36 billion (SOURCE @ link)

According to the National Council of Nonprofits (NPOs) this USA economic sector (aka, the Third Sector) generates $166.3 billion in economic activity every year with $63.8 billion in annual spending by organizations and an additional $102.5 billion in event-related spending by their audiences.

What’s next for Mackenzie Bezos? Freelancer Molly Brown offer: “after spending more than a couple decades in Jeff’s shadow, and hopefully what she does is for the better public good. She obviously loves literature and writing so it would be outstanding to see her start an organization that promotes something related to that, especially for underserved people around the world.”

Throughout history, Mackenzie is the only published novelist married for 25 years to the most wealthy man on earth. Perhaps like Jeff, who was self-effacing about his wealth status, claiming that he was content as the #2 most wealthy, Mackenzie hasn’t shared much about her former status or her current one, for that matter.

The social media story of the Bezos life, the world’s most wealthy couple, is viral by the current definition.

Most of the content gleaned for these specific chapters of PrimeInfidelity® started with the “ruminations” in a TWITTER feed for Mackenzie Bezos @_MackenzieBezos, an unverified, now suspended account not authorized by the namesake. I suspect the suspension was because virtually all of the content consists of retweets, not tweets from the source. As we know, Mackenzie Bezos is too accomplished as a writer not to write. She writes mystery novels, not diatribe.

Despite the Twitter knockdown of the fake page @_MackenzieBezos, her Facebook page appears to be legitimate.

Also within the former Twitter feed, now extinct, was much content that is harsh, even disparaging to Jeff and Amazon. Ex-wives often succumb to social media bully tactics, but given her Bystander Revolution mission, McKenzie is not in this community.

S E A R C H

Given the background, education, and experience that Mckenzie brings to society, the world expects to see her third novel soon. Perhaps she will add a tome to her current genre, making it a trilogy. Possibly, she will head in a different direction.

The most recent year (2016) for which statistics are available shows that Washington State had about 24,500 divorce decrees or a rate of about 3.4 per 1,000 marriages. After 25 years of marriage and the accumulation of super wealth, Mackenzie and Jeff Bezos probably did not expect their marriage to become a state statistic in 2019. Stuff happens.

Kevin O’Connor (born April 4, 1961) is an American entrepreneur and co-founder of Graphiq, a research engine founded in Santa Barbara in 2009.Previously, O’Connor was a co-founder of DoubleClick, an internet advertisement-technology, and founder of O’Connor Ventures, a venture capital firm that invests in early stage companies, including 9Star, Surfline, Travidia, Procore and CampusExplorer.

Sheer brilliance? While O’Connor is very smart indeed, he credits his success to applying Thomas Edison’s famous saying that “genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration.” In other words, the breakthrough product or service that is the result of sheer genius alone is the exception.

Great ideas that form the basis of new companies or that can make a hero of someone toiling in the corporate world are within reach of us all.

“But wait,” says O’Connor, “ideas are cheap.” Just as important is doing something with them—a process that will turn the best ideas into something that people need. In other words, O’Connor argues convincingly, innovation can be systematically forced.

The Map of Innovation is O’Connor’s step-by-step approach to devising lucrative new products and services and bringing them to market, through a process that has proven itself time and again in many different industries. Too often, people trying to innovate focus on things that don’t matter or waste their time trying to find answers to questions that can’t be answered. O’Connor shows why the map of innovation centers on getting right the five make-or-break fundamentals: creating a large number of viable ideas; picking the right idea to pursue; creating a highly focused strategy to bring the idea to market; getting the money to fund the strategy; and hiring the best people. With Kevin O’Connor, the proof of the value of methodical innovation is in the pudding. He helped start companies that have employed thousands of people and created billions in shareholder value.

Anyone can get lucky once, but for success to strike three times and to include many successful products, there has to be a method and map, and any company, big or small, working on any product or service can benefit from O’Connor’s time-tested tactics.
